We had an excellent meeting at the end of October with the Worshipful Master re-installed for a second year and several new faces in the various progressive offices. The centrepoint of the evening was, however, the Raising of one of our two Fellow Crafts to the degree of a Master Mason. Perhaps the most striking of the three degree ceremonies, the WM conducted almost all of it himself but we were privileged to see the “Walking Charge” delivered flawlessly by a visitor from Old Uppinghamian Lodge No. 4227. Followed by an excellent dinner at (for us) a new venue: the Imperial Hotel on Russell Square.
